We run TEEP research programs for international interns and have hosted an exchange student from HCMUT in Vietnam. Our department is listed as an English-taught program on NTHU's international admission website.
Our work received the National Innovation Award (2020), the National Innovation Excellence Award (2022), the Future Tech Award (2021, 2023), and the Prof. Chau-Jen Lee Research Scholar Award (2026).
Chien-Wen (Jeff) Chang is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences at NTHU. He received his PhD from the University of Utah and did postdoctoral research at UC San Diego and UCLA. His research covers drug and gene delivery and stem cell engineering.
More about Prof. ChangInternational students can apply for a 3- to 6-month research stay on biomaterials, biopolymers, and drug delivery. Applications close on November 30, 2026, and the program period ends on December 31, 2026.
Prof. Chien-Wen Chang began his term as Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences on February 1, 2026.
Prof. Chien-Wen Chang received the Prof. Chau-Jen Lee Research Scholar Award, which recognizes outstanding research in biomaterials and drug delivery.
